About This Mom
This Mom answers one question for expecting parents: what will this baby cost us, and what help do we get? It puts the scattered official numbers – birth costs, state paid leave, child care prices and tax credits – in one place and one calculator.
This Mom is an independent site. Figures are compiled from public sources and checked on a schedule. Pages are researched with AI-assisted tools, and every number is checked against the official source linked beside it before it goes live; see how we research.
This Mom does not sell anything and has no affiliate links today. If that changes, every page with a paid link will say so, and the numbers will not change because of it. See our disclosures.
