Terms of use
This Mom gives general information and estimates about the costs and benefits of having a baby in the U.S. It is not medical, legal, tax or financial advice, and it is not a government website. By using the site you agree to these terms.
Information, not advice
We work to keep every figure accurate and dated, but rules and amounts change and your situation is your own. Calculators and checkers give estimates based on official averages and limits; they are not a tax return, benefit decision or legal opinion. Check with the official program, your employer or a qualified professional before you rely on a number.
No warranty
The site and its tools are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, This Mom is not liable for decisions made or losses that come from using the site.

The site’s text, design and graphics belong to This Mom; you may quote short passages with a link. Official figures belong to the agencies that publish them.
Links to other sites
We link to government agencies and other sources so you can check our numbers. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices.
